
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will prepare students to:
- Draw blood from patients and blood donors
- Evaluate patients ability to understand the procedure
- Explain blood-drawing procedure to patients and answer questions
- Perform basic point of care testing, such as blood glucose level
- Prepare blood, urine and other specimens for testing
- Verify patient/donor identity
- Maintain medical equipment such as needles, test tubes and blood vials
Statesville Location ~
Class meets every Tuesday for 8 weeks or every other Saturday for 8 weeks.
Morning 10:00am - 1:00pm
Evening 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Saturday 10:00am - 1:00pm
Salisbury Location ~
Class meets every Monday for 8 weeks
Morning 10:00am - 1:00pm
Evening 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Students must be 18 years of age
Valid ID
High school or college Transcrips *non-official* ( we can NOT except the GED or Diploma)
Social Security Card
*MUST HAVE ALL ITEMS BY THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS*
The registration fee of $100.00 non-refundable. The remaining $1,450.00 can be set up on a payment plan which MUST be completed during orientation (first class day). Please review the payment plan guiedlines under the "Resources Tab" prior to registration! We except money orders and Credit, or Debit cards. Personal checks are not accepted.
Limited Seating & Registration:
A deposit of $100.00 is required to reserve a seat in the class. If a student elects not to attend the course the deposit is non-refundable
